Our Story

Kid Medic Care was founded with a simple belief: every child deserves the knowledge, resources, and opportunity to live a healthy life.

Our work began with a personal connection to the healthcare challenges faced by underserved communities in Iraqi Kurdistan. In many rural and under-resourced communities, families can face barriers to basic health education, first-aid supplies, hygiene resources, and timely access to care.

We believe that improving health does not begin only in a hospital. It can begin with a child learning how to properly care for a wound, a family having access to basic first-aid supplies, or a community having the knowledge and resources to prevent illness.

That is why we created Kid Medic Care.

Our Mission

Kid Medic Care is dedicated to educating and empowering children through health education and preventive care while increasing access to basic health and first-aid resources in underserved communities.

We work to make health education accessible, practical, and understandable for children and families.

What We Do

Our programs focus on practical, community-based health initiatives, including:

• Children's Health Education — teaching children age-appropriate lessons about health, hygiene, safety, and prevention.

• First-Aid Education — helping children understand basic first-aid practices and how to respond to common injuries.

• First-Aid Kits & Supplies — providing communities with basic first-aid resources where they are needed.

• Hygiene & Preventive Health — supporting access to hygiene products and education that can help prevent illness.

• Community Partnerships — working with local organizations, healthcare professionals, students, and community leaders to identify needs and develop sustainable programs.

Our Focus

Our work currently focuses on underserved communities in Iraqi Kurdistan, with an emphasis on rural communities where access to health resources and education can be limited.

We believe effective community work begins by listening. Before developing programs, we seek to understand what communities actually need and work alongside local partners to make our efforts meaningful and sustainable.

Our Vision

We envision communities where children are not only receiving healthcare when they become sick, but are also equipped with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to protect their health before illness or injury occurs.

Our long-term goal is to build a sustainable model of children's health education and preventive care that can reach more underserved communities and empower the next generation to become advocates for their own health and the health of those around them.
